When we renovated and furnished the house, I was determined to have flowers as the motif for the paintings, and I wanted my mother to paint them. Without her trust and openness, the Addendum project wouldn’t exist. In every seed, in every bud, everything is contained for a beautiful flower to bloom. What could symbolize Addendum better than the idea that everything is already there – it just needs to unfold and reveal itself in all its splendor. The paintings in the house are meant to be a constant reminder of this natural process and to inspire us to consciously live this unfolding.
